Warranties

All StenoCast products come with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in manufacture and/or materials. In other words, if our device fails to function as designed and not as a result of outside damage, we will repair or replace the component, at our option.

StenoCast also provides two forms of extended coverage on some products:

First, you may extend the manufacturer’s warranty for one additional year, giving you two years of warranty coverage.

Second, you may purchase a one-year No-Fault Warranty. The StenoCast No-Fault Warranty provides coverage against accidental damage due to drops, spills, power surges, etc. If a product is covered under the No-Fault Warranty, each component is entitled to a one-time replacement, if accidentally broken. For example, if your Ez Send transmitter and Ez Receivers are covered under this warranty, the transmitter may be replaced one time and each Ez Receiver is replaceable one time, if damaged. Lost or stolen components are specifically not covered.

The No-Fault Warranty must be initiated at the time the StenoCast products are purchased.

You may extend the manufacturer’s warranty at any time while the product is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. In addition, you may extend coverage after the date of purchase under the following terms and conditions:

1) The manufacturer’s warranty is extended for the length of the term you select, typically one year, with the start date of the extension being the termination date of the original manufacturer’s warranty.

So, for example, if you purchase a Realtime TV on January 1, 2012, the manufacturer’s warranty would expire on December 31, 2012. If you purchase a one-year extension of the manufacturer’s warranty on March 1, 2013, the start date of this extension will be January 1, 2013, and the extension of the warranty will expire on December 31, 2013.

2) If the extension of the manufacturer’s warranty is purchased after the expiration of the original manufacturer’s warranty, no warranty claim may be submitted to StenoCast until 30 days has elapsed after the purchase date of the extension.
