It is good for a company that is proud of their product offerings to sing the praises of their know-how and ingenuity.
However, it is oftentimes much more useful and compelling to hear the opinions and insights of one's peers, people just like you, that know the needs of court reporters and their clients and have come to StenoCast to meet those needs.

The ease of just turning it on and the portability is great. If the judge is having problems with connectivity on his computer, I can just hand it up to him. If a juror had hearing issues, I can see it being a quick fix to get them to the next break when IT could set something up for them. The other day, I had an attorney who was hard of hearing just a touch. Our microphones were out and so it was difficult for her. Sometimes an attorney will come unprepared, maybe their laptop isn't set up correctly, but they want realtime. This solves that issue until you can work around whatever is holding them back. What a good way for me to be an ambassador for realtime -- just hand the device to them and let them use it during court.

Below is a picture of another arbitration hearing I took recently. It was a big conference room. You can clearly see the blue receivers lit up. No more haggling with multi lines to hook up various wires to get to faraway laptops. In five to seven minutes I had a total of seven laptops hooked up-- and that included sending two feeds via the serial port to two laptops.
I have seven receivers now and wish to upgrade to ten soon -- I never want to be short of my wireless UBS receivers. It's a court reporter's dreams come true."

"Thank you, Tiffany, for getting my StenoCast Red unit out to me so quickly. I can't even begin to say what a great success it was in my courtroom here in the Eastern District of California, U.S. District Court. I helped get it set up for a coworker of mine who was doing seven days of realtime hookups on the water issues we have here in the Central Valley. There were probably about 25 to 30 attorneys at any one time, and many more litigation specialists in the courtroom. We ran both cable and used the four receivers that came with my Red. It was fun to see attorneys handing off their laptops to people in the back of the courtroom so they could use the realtime out of the well of the courtroom, and we had people asking, "Can I please have the wireless if someone else isn't using it?" We could have had eight receivers and probably used them all! Needless to say, at about 275 pages a day, the reporter had a very lucrative week, and it was in great part due to the fact that Stenocast gave her the ability to give her clients what they needed.
